Lots of news to tell about the soap opera that has the national sports
press in its grip. Kylian Mbappé could arrive at Real Madrid at the
end of next week. This is what sources close to the Concha Espina club
point out.
In fact, there are several journalists who have
already shown the date on which Mbappé could become a Real Madrid
player. Alberto Pereiro from Onda Cero reported that at the Bernabéu,
"they don't hide his smile and they let me know that starting July 22
I shouldn't take vacations because I might have work...". Some words
that, if true, only confirm that Mbappé's arrival or rather his
presentation is only a matter of days.
The same station
also explained in its Radio Estadio program that between July 24 and
25 the Santiago Bernabéu will have the seats and the scoreboard ready.
Bellingham, who scored a brace in the crucial clash at the top of the
table, was hauled off just before the hour mark at the Santiago
Bernabeu having complained of discomfort in his ankle, with Brahim
Diaz replacing him for the final third of the game.
Madrid
have now confirmed the results of Bellingham's medical assessments,
revealing in a statement: "After the tests carried out today by the
Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Jude Bellingham has been
diagnosed with a high-grade sprain in his left ankle. Evolution
pending."
Though Madrid have not given an official
timescale on the injury, reports from Spain suggest he is likely to
miss three weeks. Los Blancos' Champions League last 16 second leg at
home to RB Leipzig on March 6 has been pencilled in as a potential
return date.
The Santiago Bernabéu will host a National Football League (NFL)
regular season game in 2025. The announcement was made at a ceremony
held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, two days before the
Superbowl, attended by Peter O’Reilly, executive vice president of the
NFL; Emilio Butragueño, director of Institutional Relations at Real
Madrid; and Santiago López-Vilas, general director of Real Madrid
Estadio, among others. This will be the first time that Spain will
host an official NFL match.
“Playing a game in Madrid in
2025 demonstrates the La Liga’s continued expansion of its global
footprint and ambition to bring our game to more fans around the
world. We are proud to partner up with Real Madrid, a global brand,
along with the City of Madrid and the Madrid Regional Government, to
bring a spectacular regular season game to Spain in a world-class
Santiago Bernabéu setting,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
